Assistance Dog Blog

This blog is designed to help people with disabilities to train their own assistance (or service) dog.

From finding out what certification is required locally, to properly socializing a puppy candidate, basic training and more advanced tasks, if you take your time to go through it, your questions will be answered. Only positive reinforcement methods are used to help build a strong and reliable partnership.

Observation Skills Discussion Groups

Learning to read the more subtle as well as obvious signals your dog uses is a fundamental skill needed by everyone who shares their life with a dog. Your observation skills only get better with practice.
This moderated group uses simple exercises to observe your own dog, and photos and videos submitted by other group members.
